Synopsis
Based on a contemporary interpretation of the classic Henry James novel, and set in present day New York City, the story centers on Maisie, an unwitting six-year-old girl enmeshed in the bitter divorce of her mother, a rock and roll ion, and her father, a charming but distracted art dealer. As Maisie is shuttled back and forth between them, she comes to rely more and more on her parents' new spouses, who begin to see how selfish and damage Maisie's parents really are, and who find themselves falling in love with one another.

故事大綱
今日紐約，7歲女孩Maisie(奧娜達艾培 飾)周旋在離婚父母的漩渦之間──媽媽Suzanna(茱莉安摩亞 飾)是過氣搖滾巨星，性格叛逆；父親Beale(史提夫古更 飾)則是藝術品商人，但為人懶散。 Beale為贏得撫養權，娶下Maisie褓母Margo(祖安娜雲達咸 飾)，Suzanna即極速下嫁做酒吧侍應的友人Lincoln(亞歷山大史卡斯加 飾)，意外引發了一場爭奪Maisie之戰。反而一直最懂得顧及Maisie感受的，並非她的生父母，而是Margo同Lincoln！夾在中間的Maisie，亦開始看真爸媽的自私同毀滅性格，亦明白他們為何深愛對方…… 究竟Maisie最後會選擇同哪邊組織新家庭？究竟這個故事會不會有happy ending？
